Q: What does your typical solution include?
A: We customise a solution based on our clients’ needs and requirements. Our core solution typically includes email and remote working, offsite back up & recovery, 24x7 monitoring & support plus hardware & software

Q: Where are the servers located?
A: Your file & print servers are onsite, and we back up your data offsite to a secure data-centre

Q: Is my data safe?
A: Data is backed up to our off-site high security data-centre located in London docklands

Q: What time can I call you?
A: Any time, we have helpdesk support and engineers on call 24 hours a day

Q: What happens if I encounter a disaster?
A: Because your data is backed up to a data-centre, in the case of a disaster we can recover your data from the last back up and have you back up and running within 24–48 hours

Q: Do you provide a break/fix service?
A: No we don’t wait for something to break to fix it and we do not supply "ad-hoc" support

Q: What happens when we grow and add new staff?
A: We add another user to your expanding business at the same fixed monthly charge

Q: What if our needs change over time?
A: We work with you and ensure we only cover our time for any new projects or systems we help you with

Q: Our server keeps filling up and we only know this once our back up fails. How do you manage this?
A: Virtual IT proactively monitors the network and capacity which avoids this scenario

Q: Is support limited to business hours only?
A: Virtual IT support is available 24x7 as standard

Q: How do I know that you can do what you say?
A: Our growth and retention rates show a proven record of delivery of our services. We can provide references appropriate to your business

Q: What kind of hardware do you provide?
A: We only work with tier one vendors supplying corporate grade desktop, server & firewall hardware. We also keep standard stock for fast turnaround times

Q: What do we do with our existing hardware?
A: We can do a full audit for you and either re-use or replace it depending on your requirements

Q: How many technical staff to you have?
A: We have around 30 technical staff who hold many of the required industry qualifications for support and product specialisms

Q. What does your monthly cost include?
A. Virtual IT's monthly cost is fixed and includes all hardware, software (including upgrades if required), and anti-virus licences, managed email, daily offsite back up, VPN access, security and unlimited 24x7 support.

Q. How can I be assured it will work?
A. The Virtual IT solution is currently deployed across many different offices, including our own, with over 3,500 users. We can put you in touch with various existing clients during your evaluation process to put your mind at rest

Q. Can you provide references?
A. We will be glad to provide you with references from some of our customers

Q. Am I able to source my own hardware?
A. There are various options here. A company can either buy or lease from Virtual IT or source their own hardware providing it is from a tier one manufacturer

Q. How long is the contract?
A. Our contracts run for three years, with break clauses at one and two years. We also offer the ability to cancel after two quarters of breached Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Q. How long does it take for Virtual IT’s service to be implemented?
A. Once you have made your decision, we build a project plan to minimise downtime and disruption to your business. Depending on the complexity of your project and implementation, this can take from four weeks to a maximum of six weeks
